A Splash of Red...

Here are some pictures from the wedding I did a few weeks ago! The wedding was beautiful and the people were wonderful! I really enjoyed getting to know the bride and the family. The whole thing was a success!

Week 17: Onion

17 weeks along and doing great! My baby bump definitely made it's appearance this week. I woke up Wednesday and was like "Wow, where did that come from?" Haha! I am also finally convinced that I have been feeling the baby. I kept thinking I was, but wasn't sure...but now I am feeling it much more frequently and am sure it is him/her moving around! It is AMAZING! I get this HUGE smile on my face every time and Terry just loves it! He knows every time that the baby must have just moved. It is so much fun! I can't wait until he is able to feel the baby kicking one day! And yes, it is true! I gave in! We are going to find out the baby's sex! We are scheduled for the ultrasound on my birthday, March 11th! Talk about an AWESOME birthday gift! So we will keep you posted! Anyways, the baby is now the size of an onion! Sorry Daniel, this one may be hard to avoid for you! Haha!!!

More info on our little onion: "The baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints." -thebump.com

Week 16: Avocado

16 weeks along today and officially an avocado...

Baby info: "Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender. "

Baby Fun!

So we already have some nursery furniture! We just couldn't wait!!! I had picked it out like a month or so ago and was going to wait, but the crib went on sale! So we jumped on it! We have the crib and changing table, but are waiting to see if the dresser goes on sale. We have them both put together and they look great! The color is espresso, though the pictures make it look much darker.

In other baby news, I had another doctor's appointment yesterday. It was mainly just my annual gyno stuff, but I did get to hear that precious little heartbeat again! Soooo wonderful! It was even louder and stronger sounding this time! Absolutely priceless!

Busy, Exhausting, but Fun Weekend!

This weekend sure was BUSY for us! We did the photography for a wedding rehearsal on Friday, a wedding on Saturday, and then had a birthday party on Sunday. I am simply exhausted! The rehearsal and wedding went nice and smooth! The family was so wonderful and very appreciative of everything, so it made it that much better! Terry assisted me with all of it and did great. It is so nice to have him as a back-up! I am excited to get working on their photos!

Andrea & Derek's birthday is on the 21st of this month, but we celebrated last night since Derek was in town. We had a great time! Mom cooked a wonderful meal and Sam & Jake made for great entertainment as always! I love spending time with the family! We missed you Khirstin, Braeden, Grandma, Chad & Fargol...wish you all could have been in town! Here are a few pictures of the party!
Haha! I tried to act like this was Andrea's real gift!
I mean, come on, it came all the way from Jamaica!

Week 15: Naval Orange

15 weeks along and the baby is a naval orange!

More info on our little orange: Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. The baby is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb!

I wanted to add this in too: "Although the baby's eyelids are still fused shut, he/she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, he/she's likely to move away from the beam." Isn't that neat!? :)

My Growing Belly!

So, today in one of my pregnancy books, it talked about how at this point maternity clothes might not be a must, but you are probably not fitting so well in your normal clothes. The book continues to say "Some women try to get by for a while by not buttoning or zipping their pants all the way or by using rubber bands or safety pins to increase the size of their waistbands. Others wear their partner's clothing..." So we thought wearing Terry's clothes sounded like a plan! HAHAHAHA! We have been laughing histerically since!!!

Chili

Haha, so this might be one of those "you had to be there moments" but I am still cracking up! Since I have been pregnant, I have really not enjoyed the idea of chili and most soups really. I don't know why, but I just haven't had a desire for it. Terry loves chili and I usually do too. Anyways, he is constantly asking me if I want chili for dinner and I again & again say no. Today he looked at me, so serious and asked "Umm honey, can I get an ETA on when chili is going to sound good again?" Hahaha! I just love him!

Week 14: Lemon

14 weeks along and going GREAT! I can't use the phrase that "I am doing peachy" anymore, as the baby is now a lemon! Haha! The logic behind these fruits is really starting to confuse me, as to me, a peach seems bigger than a lemon, but oh well! It's still fun!

More info on our little lemon: Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

Anyways, have a great day and enjoy the Super Bowl everyone!
