Week 39

Okay, so I am 39 weeks along and trying as patiently as possible for this little guy's arrival! I have tried to stay busy and keep my mind occupied by going out with friends & family, cleaning house, working, etc! Of course, I am always exhausted but I do what I can! I am still working full time at the office, but not doing any photography...too hot outside! On a more fun side, a couple weeks ago, my friend Andrea & I got a pedicure. A few nights later, we went to eat with her and her fiance Patrick. Later that week, Jamie, James & Kensley were so sweet and brought us dinner at our house! The next night, we had pizza and fun at my Mom's & Dad's house! Last Sunday, Terry took me on a date night! This past Friday, we went out to eat with Sean, Megan & Addie! Then Saturday, we went to Melanie & Alex's to celebrate Alex's birthday!!! BUT even with all this fun, I completely failed to take a single picture! BUT a big thanks for all my friends and family for trying to keep me busy!

More info on baby: "Your baby's waiting to greet the world. He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, like a watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath. "

Week 38

38 weeks along and waiting...

More info on baby: "Your baby has really plumped up! He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If he's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old." (I am pretty sure he has no choice on this...Terry & I are both blue eyed!)

Week 37: Watermelon

Full term = Yeah! I am 37 weeks along and now just patiently awaiting Noah's arrival. I do not know how long "patiently" will last, but I am as of now! :) Ha! Like everyone's comments on my previous post, this is soooo exciting! Knowing that at any minute, I could be in labor. It actually consumes your mind. I don't think a single minute passes now without me thinking... "my water could break right here, right now...is it going to break?...this would not be a good place for it to break...but here would be...is this contraction real?...should I time these?" Ahh! It is such a crazy feeling knowing that soon he won't be in my belly, but in my arms!

Today, he has his last fruit comparison and it's a watermelon! I definitely feel like there is a watermelon in me, as I officially feel huge! I am very ready to meet this "watermelon" sized child in me! Haha!

More info on baby: "Your full-term (yay!) baby is gaining about 1/2 ounce a day and getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready. He's also brushing up on skills for the outside world: blinking, sucking, inhaling, exhaling, and gripping (it's getting strong!)."

Progress!

I had my regular check-up today and I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced! Which in all reality, could mean nothing because I could go weeks like that, but hey...progress is progress! Right?! Either way, we are excited! He is locked into the head down position and my doctor was able to feel his head when she checked me! I have dropped a lot in the last few days and I am considered full term in just a few days. So he could come at anytime now! I am hoping sooner, than later...but whenever he is ready is fine by me! Wish us luck! :)

Week 36

36 weeks along and still doing good! We cannot believe it is soooo close!

More info: "Baby should soon descend into your pelvis, which will give your lungs a little room to breathe (literally). The bad news: This puts the brunt of baby's weight on your hips and pelvis, and will make them pretty sore. Add in your ever-loosening ligaments, and you may soon be taking on that oh-so-adorable pregnancy waddle."

4th of July!

Terry & I had a very low-key 4th of July this year! We had fun grilling out dinner together and then sat out back and watched everyone else's fireworks! It was actually a lot of fun!

Pre-4th Fun!

Tonight we went to Mom & Dad's house and had SUCH a wonderful time! It was actually nice and cool outside, so it's the first time I have really enjoyed spending time outdoors lately!!! Anyways, we ate pizza, then did some chipping and putting (SO cool to have a golf course in your backyard!), played some basketball, and then went to Pollys! I feel like during this last HOT month, I have hardly done anything expect work and spend time inside with air, so this was exactly what I needed! The whole night was so much fun! Oh and I have to say, when we were playing basketball, Andrea, Mike, Terry & I decided to play "MONKEY" (you know, like horse or pig) and I totally won! Haha! I have to rub in it that the 9 mo preg beat you all!

This pic CRACKS me up!

Yes, those are my elevated feet in the shot! Ha! :)
Dad tried to feed mom a bite and she ended up spitting it everywhere!
It was hilarious!
