Week 31

31 weeks along...or maybe more! So my original due date was August 2nd. Later it was unofficially changed to July 30th. Then at my doctors the other day I was measuring a little over 32 weeks along, so who knows! I guess it's safe to say that our little baby Noah should be here in the next 6-9 weeks! We can't wait to meet him!

More info on baby: "This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy."

Memorial Day Weekend!

I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend! We really didn't do much, but we had a wonderful time! We did get to spend some time together, with some family, and grilling out! The only pictures I took the whole weekend was of Sam's Tee Ball game, which was awesome! He was soooo freakin cute out there and he did great!

Week 30

30 weeks along now!!!

More info on baby: "As baby's skin smoothes out, his brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. He's also adding some brawn -- his grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger. He is about 15.7 inches long now and he weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)"

Who Does Noah Look Like?

Ok, so you people that said Noah was going to look like his daddy are crazy! Hahaha! Just kidding! Look at him compared to Terry's hospital picture! Geez!!! The US tech said he has lots of hair, which is definitely like me and he does seem to have my chin, but looking at the picture as a whole....it definitely appears that he will look like his daddy!!! IT IS SO CUTE!!! I love it!!!

Terry's hospital picture My hospital picture

And believe it or not, but Terry did weigh more than me! You can't tell from my big-o cheeks and double chin though! He weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and I weighed 8 lbs 9 oz! I have a feeling Noah's going to be a big baby boy! Ha!

Our Baby Boy in 4D!!!

So yesterday was an exciting day for us! We went to see our little boy in a 4D/3D ultrasound and it was AMAZING! I could sit there and look at that little boy all day long! We went to a place called Early Images in Jeffersonville and I absolutely recommend them to anyone! They went above and beyond what we expected and just made the whole experience absolutely WONDERFUL!!! We spent over an hour in there (since our little stinker wasn't cooperating so well at the beginning!), got to hear his heartbeat, got tons of great images, and got to bring along some family! They had a 6-8 person maximum, so it was hard to pick who to invite since Noah has SO many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and just people who love him! So we invited the grandparents and our sisters. I think everyone really enjoyed getting to be there! We missed Pa (Terry's dad) and wished he could have been there! BUT we have it all on DVD and all the images on CD!

Here is the whole group!
Me with Noah's monkey from Aunt Andrea!
AND HERE HE IS!!!! SO ADORABLE!!! I JUST LOVE HIM!
From what we could tell, he looks to have daddy's nose,
and mommy's lips and chin.
The tech said he has lots of hair and beautiful long eye lashes,
which would definitely be compliments of his Uncle Derek!!!
Wearing his umbilical cord as a necklace!
Flipping us off!!! Haha!

Yep, it is confirmed again, he is a boy!

His sweet little legs & feet! Thankfully it looks like he has daddy's feet!

Week 29-32: Squash

We are 29 weeks along and now compared to a squash! Throughout the next few weeks, our baby boy is estimated to weigh 2.5 to 3.8 lbs and be 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. Only 2 more fruit comparisons until he is here! :)

More info on baby: "Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?)-- Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments. "

Geez!

So last night we took a breast feeding class at the hospital and we went ahead & pre-registered online for the hospital stay...(so yes, I know the pre-registering is probably a bit early) but GEEZ, time is seriously flying by! Can't believe how close we are getting to meeting our little Noah!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there!!! We spent the day with our fantastic momma's and our families. We started at church, then to my Grandmas, and then to his MawMaw & PawPaws. It was a great "first" mother's day! Terry & Noah got me a gift certificate to Earth & Fire, so that when Noah gets here, we can go make something together! It was so sweet and I can't wait to get his little hand/feet prints onto some pottery! The whole day was wonderful! I absolutely cannot wait until next year's mother's day when I actually get to spend it with my little guy! We are 28 weeks (7 months along), so it won't be much longer! Boy, it is flying by!

Me & my wonderful Mom! I love you!!!

Sam, Daniel & PawPaw playing on the tractor! Sam was having so much fun!

I AGAIN got no pictures with his family. I am so bad about that!!!!!! With my family, everyone always has there camera out, so I always get pictures. His family hardly ever does, so I always forget to get mine out, BUT we had a great time there too!!! As a last note, I got this in an email and thought it was sweet enough to share! I can't wait to be able to say this! What a wonderful title "MOM" is...
  • Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
  • Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
  • Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
  • Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
  • Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
  • Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

3rd Trimester!!!

Can you believe it?! I am 27 weeks along today and officially in my 3rd trimester! Geez, where has the time gone?!

More info on baby Noah: "Your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle!"
