Snow Day!

Today has been such a wonderful day! My hubby & I got to spend the day together at home, with electricity! My poor parents still do not have any! Sorry Mom & Dad and anyone else who doesn't have it!!! Anyways, I was able to get some work done and have fun playing in the snow and relaxing on the couch! Tonight we are going to play some games and/or watch a movie! Here are some pictures of our day in the crazy ice and snow!

The baby even came out to play! Ha! :)

Week 13: Peach

13 weeks along today and our baby is now a peach!

More info: "Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy."

Here's to You, Alex!

So I have been meaning to blog this for awhile, but just got around to it! This is my little way of paying back my brother-in-law! You know the saying "what happens in ___, stays in ___".... so, in this case, it would be "What happens in Jamaica, stays in Jamaica".... BUT in this case, I didn't abide by the rules! :) So, this is for you Alex! Haha! I love ya! You're such a good sport and a "Keeper"!

Week 12: Plum

I am 12 weeks along... he/she is now an adorable little plum! Sorry Daniel, I hope you can still eat plums after this! :)

More baby info about week 12: "As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed. The most dramatic development this week: Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, toes will curl, eye muscles will clench, and the mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His/her intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his/her abdominal cavity about now, and the kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder."

One Baby Elder on the WAY!!!

So today we had our doctor's appointment to hear our little baby's heartbeat! And we did!!! Loud and strong! It was the most amazing sound in the world! We were so unbelievably excited! Then we were even more excited because we ended up SEEING our little baby! We couldn't believe it! She ordered an ultrasound, just to make sure we were right on our due date and to check for multiples in there! For those of you who don't know, Terry & I both have twin siblings and many other twins throughout our family tree! Anyways, just one baby Elder on the way! It was so AMAZING to see! He/she was sleeping through most of it which gave us a great view. Then the tech kept shaking my belly to get him/her to wake up and move...and finally a little wiggle! It was sooooo cute!!!!

Week 11: Lime

I am 11 weeks along and baby Elder is officially the size of a lime this week (much better sounding than the prune he/she was last week)! We are going in this Friday to hopefully hear the heartbeat! I cannot wait!!!

Some other info on our baby includes: "Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future."

Sad to be Back from Jamaica...

We got back Thursday night from Jamaica! We are so sad! We had an absolute BLAST there! We went with Melanie & Alex to the Sandals Montego Bay Resort. While we were there, we also visited the Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort. The service was amazing, the weather was perfect, the entertainment was wonderful, and we had great company with us to join in on the fun! Here are a few of our pictures!
