The BIG day! BRING ON THE WALKER!

Today was a big, big day! Allie is cast free! Just a few days shy of 4 months and the girl stood for the first time! Everything still looks good, no cyst! We still won't know about blood supply for probably a year. Her leg is slightly shorter now but there is hope it can catch up. She will be in the brace at all times except to bath, sleep, swim and to do some walking with her walker. She can start walking but always with an adult and her walker. He said we need to majorly slow her down once she does get going. She absolutely needs to take it very slow and easy.

At this point, she can barely stand and she could not take a step but she sure did try! She was a little upset that she couldn't get the leg to move but she was a trooper and trying hard. Therapist says it is going to take a while. Overall she has been the happiest girl on earth today! We return in 4-6 weeks. It was a very long day but the best one she has had in a long time!
