Fall Family & Maternity Pictures

I got my sister and mom to come out and attempt to get us some family pictures a few weeks back. I just finally got the time to edit them and get them on here! I am actually pretty happy with a few of them! I am kind of picky because it's what I do! Luckily Andrea is pretty patient with me and listens to what I say! Mom does an awesome job as Noah's entertainer.

Thanksgiving Trip to PA

With Derek's arrival home from Iraq coming early, we decided to head to PA and have Thanksgiving with him, Khirstin & Braeden this year! It was a great trip! It took about 11 hours to get there and about 10.5 to get back. I just have to say that Noah was SO, SO, SO good! I was actually pleasantly surprised just how good! He didn't complain once. He kept saying "We are going on a LONG drive to see Uncle Derek! Hooray!" He was excited to watch Cars for the first time, along with Thomas videos, Bob the Builder, Nemo, etc. Anyways, the extented weekend was wonderful! Even Chad, Fargol & Friyana came in, so it was extra special!

I love this picture of Derek & Noah. They were in deep conversation! I am pretty sure Derek thinks Noah is pretty hilarious!

Pre-Thanksgiving Fun!

I actually had a free day today with nothing to do - on a weekend! It rained all day, so all my shoots were cancelled. I haven't had a free day on a weekend in months. So we decided on some family, Thanksgiving fun doing crafts and making turkey cookies (sort of! ha!)!  

I told him to hold it up and say "cheese". He did, alright! ha!

Tylar's Birthday

We went to a fun park for Tylar's birthday tonight! It was fun - games, putt-putt, go carts and a play ground!

Bow & Tutu Making Party!

A friend of mine threw a Bow & Tutu Making Party today! Let me just say, I was so excited! HOW FUN is all of this?! Yes, I am so proud of my finished products that it warrants 3 pictures!

Andrea & Baby Avery's Shower

Mom & I threw Andrea & Baby Avery's Shower today! It was an outdoor shower and let me just say, I worried about it being cold, slightly worried about rain, but never thought I would have to worry about wind! The temperature was nice, there was no rain, but I thought we were going to all blow away! Ha! Overall, it went over very nicely and she had a great turnout! Now we just want to meet Avery Michael! 

Making a Mess...I mean, Pankcakes!

Noah is on the counter cooking with me for almost every meal! I love it! This morning we made blackberry pancakes - he was covered in batter!

Motorcycle!

PawPaw pulled out the little motorcycle today and Noah was pumped!

Welcome Home 1 LT Derek McAfee

We were thrilled to have Derek come back early from his 400 day order. We were also happy to be there to welcome him home! It was a lot like the show "Coming Home". It was in the middle of the night (I didn't even go to bed!), in a hanger and once the soldiers got there, they banged on the garage like door, it opened, they marched in and everyone went wild! I took a lot of video, so I don't have many pictures but it was awesome! So wonderful to see Derek and see all of the other soldiers reuniting with their families. I am so thankful for each and every one of them - especially for their safety!

 

Chuck E.Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese for Jayda's birthday party! Noah had a blast! Unfortunately, I only got 2 pictures the whole night! Him and Addie....and me and him!

Little Sister has a Name!

Our little girl officially has a name - Allie Ann Elder. I think it's so sweet and simple. I love it! Ann is after my mom and Grandma. Noah loves telling everyone his baby sister's name!
